Very good, I just ran ito trouble as had all the links playing at the same time. The Who won.
I would invite Mike Scott and as a local interest Nick Harper. |

| Nick Harper is my favourite guitarist - top geezer too. I'd love to see him play Avebury. But...
If we're talking fantasy band, I'd want to see dead people.
Guitar/vocals - Syd Barrett, Bo Diddley and Arthur Lee Drums - Keith Moon Bass - John Entwhistle Voice box synthesiser - Roger Troutman Hammond Organ - Jimmy McGriff |

| Is Arthur Lee dead ? I thought I saw him at the Swindon Art's Centre not that long ago.
Meant to say earlier, Julian Cope must be there please. Can he come as The Wandering Minstral wearing blue sunglasses. |

| Albert Lee is great! Country Boy etc - he's an amazing guitarist.
I saw him play one Xmas - years ago, when I lived in London. It was a free gig at Chas & Dave's pub, in North London. The main band was Jerry Hogan - Hogan's Heroes - and guests included Don Everly and Buddy Emmons (top US pedal steel guitarist). UK guests included Albert Lee and BJ Cole.
It was cosmic.
YouTube (not the actual gig though): Country Boy |

| Pete,
I didn't have you down a Cure fan. I nicked Disintegration from my son (I was a youngish mum) when it was on vinyl. I've got two taped copies and a CD now. I love Leonard Cohen but if I really want to get tired and emotional, its got to be Cure, Fasination Street, Plainsong, Pictures of You. Where's that bottle of red wine! |

| Did anyone go to the Dark Side of the Moon concert in Roger Bolton's back garden? It was 1999 - the week of the total solar eclipse. A prog-rock tribute band called 'No' played a note-perfect rendition of Dark Side of the Moon exactly as the album! It finished with an amazing firework display. |

Sure did Steve, that was the day my daughter was born. Roger filmed it all but I think the original tapes went when his house caught fire in Bath a few years ago. PeteG |

According to Andy Worthsingtons book a group of travellers were moved on from Savernake forest in summer 1985 and they discovered the Silbury car park. They camped for a day or two then the local law turned up and told them to F*ck Off!

| I spent three months in Morocco and had the fortune to hear a lot of Berber Drummers...
This is such a short film and I have found it difficult to find any footage that really show the absolute brilliance of these Guys...
For Me... Best in the World..

I had the privelege of spending nearly a year there ('70) and have to agree , one memorable festival near Asni involved taking a camel up a hill to have it's throat cut but the drummers solo and collectively en route were easily the best I had heard and much more more to my taste than the Rio samba schools .

| I think it was 71 when I was there...
Thing's didn't work out as I thought they might and so I can't say I had a good time...
I have never been back and have never had the desire to..
But the smell and the sounds will remain with me forever..
One thing I did miss then I returned home, was a nice glass of Mint Tea...

I went back about 78 but that was very much a fortnights tourist holiday didn't enjoy nearly as much . Mint tea is not quite the same when made here maybe it's the granulated sugar instead of a great chunk . I remember eating a tagine in a Moroccan retaraunt in Regent's Street or nearby and thinking "this is good ,but it's nothing like the real thing " . The "cookies " were quite memorable too. A friend has just moved there .

| I had forgotten about the cookies..
There was a grocery shop that would 'swap' a cup of milk and two cookies for a few coloured felt tip pens... wonderful !!!
I also liked ( when I had some money) a fried doughnut type thing that had a egg in it... The vendor would fry it up while you waited on the street.
Absolutely no I idea what that was now...
